Commendation Ceremony for Mr. Andrew Wyckoff (the Info-Communications Promotion Month Certificate of Commendation)

On 2 July 2021, Ambassador Yoshifumi Okamura, Permanent Representative of Japan to the OECD, honored Mr. Andrew Wyckoff with the Info-Communications Promotion Month award in a Certificate of Commendation Ceremony at the residence.
Mr. Wyckoff’s achievements include his contribution to strengthening the partnership between Japan and the OECD, such as formulating the OECD Recommendation of the Council on Artificial Intelligence, which builds on the AI R&D Guidelines published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. He has also been dedicated to establishing international institutional standards in the field of information and communications technology, such as the adoption of the G20 AI Principles, while serving as Director of the OECD’s Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation.
