The Permanent Delegation of Japan to the OECD, representing the Japanese government in the OECD, actively promotes Japan’s diplomacy toward the OECD by participating in various activities of the Organisation and enhancing the bilateral relationship between Japan and the OECD.
 
The Permanent Delegation of Japan to the OECD is currently looking for an assistant to the Deputy Permanent Representative (DPR). The DPR plays a key role in Japan’s diplomacy with the OECD by participating in OECD meetings and having frequent consultations with senior officials of the OECD Secretariat and Deputy Heads of Delegation. The assistant to the DPR is expected to provide daily support by managing the schedule, contacting counterparts, conducting research, preparing documents and other duties as required.
 
1. Work Location: The Permanent Delegation of Japan to the OECD, 112 Avenue Kléber 75116 Paris
2. Duties: Assistant to the Deputy Permanent Representative (schedule management, coordination, research, etc.)
3. Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- Excellent organisational skills necessary for secretarial work
- Fluency in both English and French (one must be a native language)
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience in OECD related work (desirable)
- French work permit required, no student or working holiday visas

5. Working conditions:
- Start date: end of September or beginning of October 2022 (Trial period: three months)
- Type of contract: permanent
- Full-time 35 hours per week Monday-Friday
6. Selection: Paper screening and in-person interview
