On 21 October 2022, Ambassador Okamura held a ceremony to award Mr. Mario Pezzini, former Director of the OECD Development Centre and Special Advisor to the OECD Secretary General on Development, with the decoration of “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon”.
Mr. Pezzini worked at the OECD for many years, achieving many accomplishments in the area of development and contributing to the mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and the OECD.
Mr. Pezzini was awarded for his contribution to promoting Japan's economic cooperation policies through the OECD.
