On 14 June 2023, Ambassador Shimmi held a ceremony to award Mr. Andrew Wyckoff, Director for Science, Technology and Innovation, OECD, with the decoration of “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon”.
Mr. Wyckoff worked at the OECD for many years, achieving many accomplishments in the area of science, technology and innovation and contributing to the mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and the OECD.
Mr. Wyckoff was awarded for his contribution to promoting digital economy policy and other policies of Japan through the OECD.
